We are STARVED of success and buying the wrong player in the past years has just us nowhere.

We begged for Klopp from afar and now we have him we just need to give him time to do it his way.
I think we have to see what results Klopp gets when he has 5 or 6 signings of his in the first 11

Things have hit a brick wall at the minute but no need to throw the baby put with the bath water

was saying the same thing the other day, this is still largely Rodgers's team. Mane, Matip, Gini and his players and have impressed most of us so it augers well for the future

Jurgen Klopp admitted he needs “a few new faces” after losing three home games in a week to go through his hardest time as Liverpool boss.

Anfield defeats to Swansea, Southampton and Wolves in three different competitions have cranked up the pressure on the German boss.

Klopp though pleaded for “positivity” at his press conference on Monday as Liverpool prepare to host leaders Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Asked what is required for short-term and long-term success at Anfield, Klopp said: “Different things, we need players, our players plus a few new faces. We need especially faith and belief, confidence to be as confident as possible.

“Everything is nice, an interesting sign of life that everything can change in one month. My job is to put out the emotion after a game.

“To stay calm and make the right decisions, that’s long term, what we will do this season? For us is to challenge ourselves to stay positive.

“Last week we lost three home games, that feels really less than average, three different competitions, it’s better than all in one competition.

“It’s all about the point of view, is everything rubbish? I cannot change. It’s important we build on the good things and that’s how life should be.

“You will struggle to be a bad person if you do this.

“We must go for the best position possible in the Premier League, or should we say we failed again and next season we try with different players, different manager? I really think we should try everything to make the best of the base we made until now.

“Stay positive, there’s no reason for anything else. In the short-term, it will help a lot against Chelsea.”

Klopp was pressed on what should be considered a success at Anfield this season and revealed a top-four finish should be celebrated.

“Let’s go to the end of the season, we could qualify for the Champions League. Should we then stay there and say “Yes, is it allowed to celebrate a position like this when Chelsea are on an outstanding run?” Yes, I think it should be allowed to celebrate this. We should fight for it.

“I think we should not try and stop now and finally judge players and talk about all the mistakes we made. We made that many mistakes that we are still fourth in the league. That’s it. There are worse things in the world,” added Klopp.

well side Jurgen....Now lets stuff Chelsea and forget last week

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Klopp happy and asking us to learn to keep our nerves.

Apparently he was angry with a fan who was annoyed that a pass went backwards instead of forward. Said in his pc that his philosophy won't change and that we need to learn to keep our nerves and get behind the team when we're building up play patiently.

Building up play patiently. We knock it around whilst our opponents have a beer or two and then we invariably give it away. Some of it is confidence and some is down to instruction.

Every team give the ball away at some point. This is the way to play like it or not. If not, then I'm sorry, you'll be suffering a lot.

I think that is where our high percentage of possession comes from though, so much passing around the keeper, back four and holding midfielders. If teams know how to play against our formation then this does give them a chance to press high against our nervy keeper and defence or pull back when the play gets to a certain point on the pitch and setup a formation. This has happened alot recently, press high when defenders have the ball and when midfielders get it just sit deep, stat compact and push Liverpool into the wide areas in which they aren't all that effective. Can although wasn't the worst player for us, is guilty of that slow build up when he receives the ball.

Klopp did change it up a bit yesterday and it was clear that he told Hendo to play over the top and wide down the channels when he could. There was a few times when balls over the top nearly came off but they really do have to be pin point, especially against someone as well set as Chelsea.

Be interesting to see how we play now that we can get back to our best formation.

Even with our best formation we've consistently played the same since the beginning of the season. We haven't changed much albeit played with a bit less intensity. Yesterday intensity was very good all game and when we lost the ball, we were very quick to get it back. Klopp emphasises keeping the ball because we spend a lot of energy trying to get it back. Urgency has to be in the final third and that's what has been missing for 5/6 games.

I totally disagree. A great deal of the goals scored against us are the result of a quick ball out of defence by the oposition on the counter attack. Most of our problems arise from teams sitting in front of us and the easiest way to get behind a defence is a quick ball forward. Speed of play across the whole park and a bit of width

Our fullbacks provide width as we don't play with wingers as such. So we need them pushing high up the pitch and have cover when we lose the ball. We got done a few times as most teams playing the way we do would.

Most teams adopt a defensive situation against us because of the way we want to play. Another way of playing would be to surrender possession but then people would be moaning that we're not playing on the front foot.

We need to be more clinical and when that happens, we blitz teams away.

About the urgency point you mention. We adopt this when we don't have the ball. When we have it we need to vary the tempo as it's unsustainable over the course of a game.
