Thanjk you.

Southampton had two chances from six yards that they hit at the keeper and the goal, based on about 4% possession. The coutinho air shot wasn't so clear cut, I'd say we had one chance that you'd definitely expect to score from. At home with 96% possession. We hit a wall on the edge of their box (again) and tried to run through it again and again. We need another plan.
We need width and pace to our play

I want to caveat this post by saying I like Klopp, I like the system and ideas he has brought
Early in the season we pressed high up the pitch with intensity and this was matched when we won the ball by quick passing and PACE in our attacks
The way to negate the high press is sit deep and knock the ball long and pick up the 2nd balls and teams have been doing this
The problem as I see it now is that firstly we arent pressing anywhere near as much and secondly the passing is slow and methodical (plodding) its side to side and concentrated in the middle of the pitch. The only time we have looked anywhere near dangerous is when we have moved the ball quickly and to the wide areas
Currently teams can sit deep and not even have to worry about the press, so they have no real reason to play it long, they can just play through us. To me letting players run 40-50 yards through your team once in a season can be classed as a mistake to let it happen 3 or 4 times in the last couple of weeks is unforgivable
I've said for sometime we need a dedicated holding / defensive midfielder firstly to combat teams lumping it and trying to pick up 2nd balls and secondly and probably more importantly to stop teams running 50 yards unchallenged!!!
I think early part of the season a lot of fans got carried away, I personally was expecting a dip in form and results but the drop off has been stark
We look like the Rodgers team of his last 18 months in charge, not pressing and with a sluggish and slow possession based game that goes nowhere
I've heard a lot of talk recently about how difficult it is to get through teams who sit deep etc...and it is difficult but a lot of our current malaise is down to us rather than our oppositions tactical genius
We have to have more energy and tempo to our play without that it doesnt matter what tactics are employed against us we will struggle
Was thinking in Germany they have a winter break, So Dortmund had a little rest before they went full press for the 2nd half of season. Our League is relentless maybe Klopp has to adjust somewhat as our players do look ****ed.
That doesnt explain why other fresher players who dont play as often are playing with the same slowness. I dont believe its to do with being tired.
Probably more of a mental tiredness currently going through the side ?
I don't completely buy the physical tiredness mantra that gets chucked out there either.......
We're very much on the average side of appearances this season, and this may just be our slump month, but as has been portrayed, we do run more than everyone else - at least up to the New Year, but in general we have plenty of recovery time and training opportunities relatively speaking, certainly before Jan - but the post-Christmas period is tough on everyone so I do find myself cringing when I see various pundits throw out the tiredness reasoning as if we've been playing two game every week since August.

I'd like to see the stats for running over the last few weeks
I'd bet there has been a drop off

Training is reportedly harsh with full midweek high intensity games.
Who cares, these pricks are paid more than enough for what they do so training should be a doddle for them. It's not like they're getting Royal Marine training where they're beasted from dusk till dawn. I'm not having it, they should put more ****ing effort in they're a letdown of epic proportions, I'm really disappointed with them and they're letting Klopp down massively.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
I'm pretty sure they get plenty of rest with all those hundreds of hours spent sitting on their arses while getting their bodies covered in those atrocious tattoos.
I still think we need a lot more pace and power. We're still a very technical team, and Klopp has adapted somewhat to incorporate the squad into his way of working.
Instead of driving forward at players, like we did earlier on in the season, we're back to wishy washy passes. Stronger squad depth, with players able to play direct with speed and aggression would help.

I ****in hate those tattoos.
Hope they regret them when they look in the mirror at 70 and everything has gone south!
Not sure where to post this , but we keep making players like Routledge , Redmond look like they are brilliant in games against us.
Cara mentioned it last night we left TAA exposed so many times last night and in the first leg as well.
It is like the midfield and defenders don't know how to cover one side of the pitch as a unit and we get left one on one numerous times.
They concede possession and break at speed and i think this comes into play with Lecter and his suggestion that we need a dedicated holding midfield player. He would be the one who covers all positions and help out whoever was being targeted by the other teams,
