I think long term we should be looking beyond Henderson.

Yeah total feels like we have been found out. Dreadful. Annoyingly we all saw it coming! Take mane out the side and we lose all width/pace/threat....virtually every Liverpool fan was worried about the afcon and losing Mane and nothing was done to cover it...be it a sign a player or a change in tactic but nothing...so frustrating
We don't have enough quality in the squad to cope with one or two players missing.
I said around Xmas that coming into Jan we are in danger of letting all the hard work being undone and that one or two new signings could be a massive boost and give us what we need to kick on...signing no one is leaving us dangerously short
Team right now looks like it's folding...at this rate top four will be out the window
Also our midfield is a ****ing messi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Don't think Sturridge can play wide. He needs to be in the middle. Our pressing is more efficient when Firmino plays centrally certainly. Studge won't be around next season I'm sure. I think Klopp will probably bring a winger or two to replace him.Originally posted by gratziani View PostThink we look better with Firmino up top period.
if Sturridge or Origi are coming in ,make them play wide for a changeAre we winning?

Knew it would go to **** when we played Can. He makes 20-25 yard dashes back to take the ball off Matip under no pressure so he can pass it backwards, yes backwards, to Lovren. Still under no pressure. While our front 3 look on in disbelief and disgust. And the opposing team have a little nap.Originally posted by kubrickscube View PostAnyone a little worried we've gone to ****?
With Sturridge up front Firmino looks useless. As does Sturridge. So, no I'm not surprised we're not winning any games. Not even worried to be honest because Mane coming back fixes everything as Weeji comes back in and Studge back on the bench. Klopp has his flaws, we can all see them, hopefully they'll be well masked again soon.Last edited by BigChief; 25-01-17, 11:42 PM.One tit for another.

Everyone was buzzing earlier in the season so we all were hoping for the title push.
Feels like we have thrown it away though with the teams that we have lost to, especially with our form against the top six.
Next season will be the real deal after a couple of decent signing again ala Mane

Big 6 months ahead.
Right now I would take 4th. I think that will actually be difficult to hold on to.
Last summer, when Klopp sold Benteke, Ibe, Allen (although to be honest I would have kept him), Sinclair, Luis Alberto then he generated good cash for them. And he replaced them well with the likes of Mane, Wjinaldum, Matip......and i think Karius will be good long term as well tbh.
He now needs to get rid of Sakho, Sturridge, Moreno and needs to buy 4 or 5 players that can be first team players. In defense, in midfield and in attack.
Next season, it will be his team so no matter how much he spends, he needs the right players in.

I'm not pretending to have the answers, I feel there are a few places that could do with strengthening, I would like to see us bring in an attacking player who could provide a natural goalscoring threat, they wouldn't neessarily have to start games but someone you could bring on for the last 20 mins and would back to score if the ball dropped to him in the box.Originally posted by Fredo View PostWhich players should we have signed? I think we're okay in terms of personel, maybe we could have done with a winger but I'm not sure there were any players that Klopp fancied available.
While this season we have done quite well in goal scoring terms but we don't have a natural goalscorer, we have been sharing the goals out but everyone who plays regularly is a patchy goalscorer (Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Lallana), players like Sturridge and Origi don't play regularly and you don't expect them to come on and get a goal. At the moment it feels like we have to work chances and create the perfect chance and that's the way we are trying to play, but I think the last few games we would have benefited from some who would get you a goal if you created them a few half chances (think a Fowler type finisher). I think that the side would get a boost from having that type of player available. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We definitely are suffering due to lacking a clinical edge up front, which we had in the first part of the season. It's partly due to Firmino and Origi losing their goalscoring touch a bit and also having to do with Sturridge not playing at his best. With Coutinho returning from injury and not fully match fit yet, this is probably where our problems lie.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI'm not pretending to have the answers, I feel there are a few places that could do with strengthening, I would like to see us bring in an attacking player who could provide a natural goalscoring threat, they wouldn't neessarily have to start games but someone you could bring on for the last 20 mins and would back to score if the ball dropped to him in the box.

With one less competition to worry about, I expect us to pick up our form shortly. We'll strengthen in the summer. Are we winning?

Yeah but it would have meant rearranging a league game and playing catch up.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostWe only missed out on playing one match......the final!!!
Still 16 games to go in the league and if we can get a winning run going, we can still challenge. Surely we can't become that **** after 3 or 4 bad games.
We should pull in together and see the team through that bad patch.
Are we winning?

Klopp is basically a victim of his own success right now. We were so ridiculously good earlier on this season it felt like we could hammer anyone.
We look flat right now and the players seem way off the pace. The atmos is going to be huge v Chelsea next Tues, so hopefully we can find some form. I almost fancy us more in the big games to the **** ones right now.Modifying post.

Ivan Perisic?
Given that he and Klopp slagged each other off quite publically when both were at Dortmund I would be surprised if either would be interested in teaming up again.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
