Yeah, I'm somewhat still disappointed we didn't try to sign a proper striker that could play well with our creative folks just behind.

Sturridge still might become a thing again, but I'm still somewhat doubtfull. Hopefully he will start banging them in again soon.

Auba would have been an amazing signing. Imagine Him, Mane and Salah speeding about the pitch.

Guy I would have loved would have been Belotti. A workrate like Firmino, strong, quick, good at linking with fast players, well able for rough stuff, but clinical in front of goal. Only 23 or 24 as well.

Can he break the Italian curse though - he is a some player and added to that brilliant in the air. Might actually be a bargain now given his buy out of €80m

I think Klopp has ****ed himself. The entire defence now (apart from maybe the leftbacks) is low on confidence. There is no winning combo at this stage. We need to grind out results with what we have and hope to Fowler that the results pick up.

Im old enough now to say "**** it". But how much patience do the fans have? I think we have the right man but with the wrong defenders. Klopp has to take responsibilty having had five windows to sort this out. VVD may have been the missing jigsaw piece. But we failed to get him with no backup plan. And I feel that this was obviously going to happen. Most of us saw this in the winter transfer window. Its only by luck and hard work we eventually finished top 4.

I feel that top fiur is going to be even tougher this season. We may sign vvd at christmas and have a good finish. But getting to that point is going to be an emotional ride that I dont think I can fully committ to, for the sake of my own sanity.

Instead I can just sit back in smug assuredness that I knew this would happen. I mean, Klopps good... just not as good as me [emoji6]

He looks tailor made for playing in England and in particular a Klopp team. He plays a bit like a stronger more clinical Firmino at times. From what I can tell he seems to like putting himself about in the box too.

If Coutinho left, I would love to see Belotti brought in as the main striker and Firmino take the second striker or AM role, like where Firmino played when he was in the Bundesliga.

Just imagine the pace of Mane and Salah coming from the flanks and the movement and play of Firmino in that support forward/Attacking midfielder role, and still having a high work rate physical finisher in front of them.

Stick Keita in beside Can in the centre, and bring in some quality to play beside Matip and a serious upgrade in goals.

                Simple this manager lark

Thinking about the VVD and no-back up issue, and our latest defending. Surely it's quite clear now that we need more than 1 new centre back? Matip I think is decent and he and Klavan for a combined fee of, what £5m is decent business but Klavan is never going to push for a regular starting position, Gomez is too young and we know about Lovren.

We need 2 new CBs at least, so surely we should have been in for some-one else as well?
                  Really?

Yes... i would argue we need 3 new centrebacks. but yes. we should have got our second choice if only to work out the best partner for vvd

I guess I should have said defensive side of the team rather than just the defence, the midfield (or parts of the midfield) need to take responsibility.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Along with many others I've been saying for a long time that we need at least two new CB's, a better left back which I guess you can say Robinson is an improvement. We needed a decent midfielder which we have in Keita and you could argue we also need a winger on each side and at least one decent striker. And a better keeper too.

We're quite a while off being a top class team imo which is why we will struggle this year. I like Klopp but he's putting himself under enormous pressure now, **** up on Weds and the fans will be on his back.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

If fans start to get on his back , they'd be wrong. If we weren't also rans before he got here, we certainly will after he's gone.
                              Are we winning?
