Like it or not if that is the criteria we are looking at there are very few players out there that meet it no other PL teams will loan us their backup CBs in case they need them themselves, there is no point in bringing in someone who doesn't know the league for such a short period. Sure we could have tried to buy a top CB but it's unlikely a club would want to sell now for a reasonable price.

If we were looking to buy someone of a similar profile I would be worried, but I think the loan deal makes sense. I think a similar loan deal for a striker would also make sense even if we don't think they are good enough long term, if they could do a job now that would be enough.
Yeah makes sense. Hope there's nothing in it more than that but I am worried the first lad we get is from the same stock of **** we've all too regularly dipped into since the owners came on board.

Amongst the ever growing list of issues Klopp has to sort out is the home form

      P11 W4 D4 L3 F14 A15 and currently 17th in the Home form rankings.

We won't anywhere near where we want to be until that is sorted out.

I think that is just a byproduct of our lack of cutting edge. We took the game to United, our game plan was effective up until the finishing part of the job.

United are absolute ****e but after 10 minutes I knew they would sneak a win

I know quite a few people thought we were good pressing wise, but there were a number of times in the game when the Man Utd players looked quicker, eased past challenges and seemed fresher, even though they created bugger all (Martial aside). I expected a counter-attacking goal from them to be honest.

I think Kloppo will come to regret saying it was only a few tweaks needed to make the club great again.

The striking situation is woeful. Its properly ****ed us this season.

I didnt think we pressed that well at all

We looked the better side still

United had a couple of runs at us second half but most of the time they just lumped it and we lapped that up

That said after about 25 minutes I said to the bloke next to me that United would sneak this because despite looking ****e they at least had players capable of putting away a chance if they got one

I am not too upset at the moment, it is what it is. Its going to take awhile to turn this around

The squad is severely lacking in terms of goals

I really hope we don't break him, like we have other managers.

Starting to feel for him already, he's giving the team the tactics to win games we just can't stick it in the net.

I think given the summer and a few of his own players it will be a different story.

Yep, this was never going to be a quick fix. The problems are a lot more deep rooted than just bringing in a new manager. I can't help but think the entire philosophy is wrong at Liverpool - it isn't going to work the way things are now. We have the best manager available to us in a generation, and he's struggling to get results too. Now more than ever, time is required!

Amen to that. The likes of caulker and long are not whats needed. We seem to have a lack of belief throughout, be it on the pitch or in the transfer market. I'm still amazed that we managed to bag Klopp.

                            I don't want a transfer committee. Or Benteke/Lallana/Mignolet.

Wish Klopp would bring in Sami Hyypia to sort the defence out. That would be awesome.
Hyypia and Klopp would be like Beavis and Butthead..."Heavy Metal...huh huh, cool"

your other post about klopp waiting until the summer to make his big purchases i think is bang on. I also think he's waiting for his mate michael zorc to help him buy these new lads.

I hope he can poach oliver bartlett back too then we're up and running.
