Is Klopp world class? Won a couple of league titles and that's it. (Devil's advocate!)

Klopp is World Class. However apart from maybe Sturridge when fit and on form he is the only one at the club at that level. He needs to bring others up to him.

I'd been thinking Klopps rebuilding job was similar to Rafas, but actually it may be more of a mindset and player overhaul similar to the one Houllier had to take on. I think Klopp will be looking 'root and branch', he's said he will give players a year - I'd imagine he means until the end of the season, and I'd suspect he has already made some decisions.

He needs to sign a captain, much as Ged did with Sami. It's a monumental task really. Because the squad he has inherited is all over the place. Some of the, will be better players if we can add players who compliment them, so Klopps vision will be the key. Klopp has also had horrific luck with injuries, but the task remains sizable.

        Goalie
        Centre back
        Left back
        Midfielder
        Attacking midfielder
        Wide player
        Striker

What we're gonna need as a minimum. I'd add another CB and midfielder if we're doing a proper job. At a guess, I'd say about 2/3 transfer windows would be required.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

I Would say Klopp is the only person at the club who is world class.

Not one player is there and that is the crux of the matter.

Can't wait for the summer and Jurgen to sign someone to excite us now , also hoping that we can do City on the day as our players seem to turn up against them.

Think it's pretty obvious he's one of the elite managers in the game, don't really know why you're asking.

Do you think Di Matteo is a world class manager after winning the CL?

Imagine a CB partnership of Hummels and Sakho
I'm a Hummels fan but I worry that the EPL would expose the faults he has in his game - he struggles against big fast forwards

Think this season shows more than any we need to spend money on a player who is the finished article and come into Midfield / Defence and lead the rest of the players straight away.

No more punts on young players but somebody who Klopp knows and can be his general on the pitch ala Alonso and Mascherano under Rafa

Once again, it's our lack of creativity and intelligence. Game intelligence cannot be solved if you don't have it at this level. From now until the end of the season, the players really need time on the training pitch to practice patterns of play, and to learn the basics again.

We pass it into feet, but not many pass it into space, thus allowing runners to move into threatening positions. We're so laboured, and because of the number of games, we can't work on this.
And this is where I was questioning Klopp. Well not questioning him obviously, he's still a world class manager, but I'm going in with eyes wide opened. Klopp knows (we all do) that Moreno/Can/Hendo/Milner/Ibe are the worst for game intelligence and shots on target around the opposing area.

As opposed to Smith/Tex/Brandogan/Ojo who have DEMONSTRATED youthful confidence going for goal. I'm not saying throw the youngsters to the lions but a good manager should balance senior players with actually decent players. Shouldn't need an open cheque book to 'get it right'.

I'm just hoping Klopp is giving the seniors their last chance before he tells them they can go. The youngsters he's keeping because he's already seen their ability.

This to me is where you enter decision making that isnt black & white but several shades of grey (not 50 )

On the face of it those youngsters do deserve a chance in the team but do you want to throw them in the deep end have their confidence destroyed by those around them and never recover??

Personally I'd have Ojo & Smith on the bench and I might be tempted to have Teixeira there also but it would be cameos for them not starts
