See salah giving it a bit of mouth, a strong manager would tell him to sit back down and sub someone else on.
Now we come to the sharp end of the season we see players not too arsed and klopp just grinning and looking like there is no hope...
The passion and fire has gone, and the players feel it too.
    Whimpering

Another way to look at that high lighted bit is we have a bunch of senior players that cannot get up for a title chase and when the manager is not holding their hands through stuff.

A team unit needs others to step up if the natural leader is in any way flagging.

As for the strong manager making Salah sit back down bit.....I think what Klopp did showed strength of character and a lack of hubris in the situation.

The easy and petty option would have been to tell Salah he was staying on the bench, but if Klopp saw Salah as a potential difference maker he resisted taking the easier and more self gratifying option and went with what he thought was best for the team in the moment.

Only idiot in that situation was Salah as he compounded it with his stupid comment after the game aboout "fire"

We need to see a Klopp hug for Salah to show it's a massive nothingburger. You could even frame it that Salah is upset he didn't have time to make a difference in Klopp's last few matches and let his frustrations out.

Salah should be showing a bit more fire on the pitch, then he might have been starting.
Most of the players have had no fire for some time!

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

My gut feel is that Klopp was reacting to something that had happened on the pitch as he spoke to Salah - either informing Salah what Salah might or might not have done in the same circumstance, but justifying why he started on the bench. Sure Salah isn't going to like that, but I'd suck it up for £350k a week and perhaps try a little harder. I've been in the 'time to sell Salah' camp for a while - not because of his attitude which ordinarily is great, but because he's going backwards and I don't think this season has done much to dissuade me. He has been great, fantastic, brilliant. But now the emphasis is on 'has been'. We can't plan for a future with him, sadly so may as well let him go.
          Really?

I just want it to get confirmed that Klopp said something like "You scruffy cunt" under his breath but got heard by Salah.

JK looks totally burnt out in his press conference today.

I think the expectation of where we could have got to and the reality of where we’ve ended up has been a real blow.

              No fairytale ending.

But nobody can deny he looks like he needs a long rest.

Maybe not this season, but his entire time with us pretty much falls under being dream stuff. Think we can safely say that Klopp in years to come is going to be spoken of with the sort of regard and reverence as that reserved for Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish.

Seems to be quite a bit of chatter in Germany that Dortmund will try to get him back there for the 2025/26 season.

                  As a DOF.

I believe the main reason Klopp wants to go back to Germany is because he is a new Grandparent and is missing out. So a DOF position would suit him well.

Yeah the man wants a break to be with family and just to go home. Hope whatever life throws at him after June is whatever he wants and if he returns to footy in any capacity I hope he smashes it.

He is that rarest of sporting beasts for me. One that leaves at the top whilst people still want more and one that leaves with his reputation intact.

He is like a world champion boxer retiring at just the right time and avoiding going on for too long and becoming a punch bag for the new breed.

                        From the Grun

Fair to say Jurgen isn't a fan of TNT Sports 12:30 kick offs.

                        He'd be a magnificent pundit.

'It would be fair to say that Jurgen Klopp is at it again. The outgoing Liverpool manager loves nothing more than moaning about his team having to play in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off after a European midweek game and despite the fact it is a horror he will never have to endure again, he’s still complaiming about last weekend, when his side were held to a draw by West Ham and saw any faint hopes they still entertained of winning the title evaporate.

Never mind the fact that they missed enough goalscoring chances to win several football matches, it seems the blame for their failure to take all three points lies squarely at the door of TNT Sports. “Seeing Aston Villa lost last night it means no English team will be in a European final, we should ask do we decrease the intensity for the players,” he says.

“If no English team is in a European final, have we underperformed? The Premier League is the best in the world but the players are overworked. Someone needs to help the people, cut off one game. Two more Champions League games next season and you can cut off the League Cup semi-final second legs.

“Everyone has a reason to say we cannot do it but we cannot sort it all the time. I had a chat with TNT – a television channel I will never watch again! – and they said they pay us to play football but I don’t see it that way. Football pays them. You have to become a part of football again and not just the squeezer, that is some advice from an old man on the way out.

“People can survive without match-days from time to time. City, Arsenal, us all out in the quarter-finals. It’s not a reflection of quality but that we couldn’t deliver on the day. Other countries have good teams, of course. When I speak about it people think it is because of the last game, no. It’s not. It’s a general problem. They dare Thursday-Sunday, Wednesday-Saturday 12:30pm. It is a crime. I was waiting for Amnesty International to go to them!

“I would like to be part of that meeting when someone says ‘Liverpool 12:30pm’ and the whole room bursts into laughter. I would love to be there. In the whole world we have the quickest turnaround between games but they are still happy and collect subscribers. You can take me off. If they are ever after a pundit, I speak English I could do it.”

While he may have been joking, Klopp has worked as a pundit in his native Germany in the past and is reported to be a very entertaining and informative match analyst. There is bound to be a clamour for his services in the months ahead, although it seems unlikely TNT Sports will be successful in any overtures they may make.'

I think not being tied to work in a fixed location for 6 days a week and 11 months of the year should open the door to multiple opportunities and flexibilities for him

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
