I don't understand all the standing ovations for the way Klopp responded to a reporter's question on whether he's concerned with the potential measures around Coronavirus.

He didn't ask him about vectors, asymptomatic carriers or general policy around quarantine. He was simply asked if he's worried. As a manager of a team that is on the brink of winning major silverware and could be affected, why wouldn't he have an opinion?

Is there something I'm not getting?

        Don't quite understand your question.

Have not seen the interview but klopp gave an opinion on CV and got credit for it but you sound like you're
        defending his opinion?

I think there is. ‘Are you worried?’ is the same as is there a reason for you to worry? Whether there is a need to worry about the virus affecting Liverpool’s title challenge depends on what happens with the spread of it, which he can’t possibly know. So the question was still do you think the corona virus will spread to the point where containment measures will cancel football matches?, and Klopp rightly said that he hasn’t a ****ing clue because he’s a football manager rather than an expert in public health. He says he’s not worried and he is a public persona seen as playing down the risks, he says he is worried and he is a high profile person helping to spread fear, maybe unnecessarily. As he rightly said, it’s not an issue that people in his job and position should be asked about.

He absolutely nailed it. If he’d said literally anything else he creates a headline. Good to see even though we may be off form on the pitch Klopp is still pitch perfect off it.

Yep, far too much asking (often totally ****tarded) famous people for their opinions on important stuff they know nothing about. 2 of my Manc mates have already contacted me to say how Klopp is a class act, which clearly grates on them.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Seen it and now understand your question.

Yeah I get it now. I thought the general question was in good faith (is it on your mind) but I can see Klopp is a 4D chess kind of guy and didn't want to deliver an opinion or a headline.

**** he'd make an excellent politician.

I say an hotel because I don't always pronounce the h in some words.
