I think it signals the end for him at the club and he'll be offloaded in the Summer. We may see him improve for the remainder of this season though, but he does like a sulk too.

Totally agree mate & I can see it playing out that way for sure. He pops up with the odd important goal still but his conversion rate must be getting to rock bottom for his time with us. 2 years ago I couldn’t imagine us without him but I can easily imagine it now. I hope he kicks on with the competition for places but he’s always come across as a bit of a whiner.

Bobby is a Klopp favourite so won’t be sold. What would be the point anyway, we’re strengthening in attack, not selling our best players. We hardly broke the bank for Diaz, so we will fund this by offloading someone like Divock, not a first team starter.

I think it is subtler than that. Until now the issue has been all three of them reaching 30 and having contracts ending in 2023; that creates a situation in which the players could hold the club to ransom because we were seen as not being able to afford to replace even two of them so we would negotiate through to June 2023. And Mane, who we are lead to believe has agreed the terms of his contract, seemed to be holding back waiting for Salah's to be sorted out. Now the Club can point at Jota and Diaz and play hardball ("sign by the summer or move on").

Yeah, I think we push Divock and Taki on and have a much stronger squad. Rotating Jota, Bobby, Mane and Diaz with Salah pretty much playing all the time. Means we can make positive subs in games when we are needing to create goals as opposed to looking to Taki and Divock and hoping.

Put it this way having to have two out of Mane, Bobby, Jota, Diaz and Salah on the bench is a tantalising prospect.

We’ve already got the top two scorers in the League so this is very exciting!
