The problem with his dip in form is it seems to make him a more selfish player. He's not knuckling down and trying to improve, he's going for glory when the simple thing is the correct course of action.

It does seem like he's taking the accolades that salah is receiving personally. Maybe that's bollocks but as has been said,it looks like he's trying too hard. The scissor kick was ridiculous, the greed against Everton where he ignored two players with a tap in, his Touch is heavy and he doesn't look fully in control of the ball. And the one time he get into the box and could have smashed it with his left he played a poor ball into the middle. It all looked so easy for him last season but quite the opposite now.

Fantastic player last season, he's most likely overthinking it since we've gone from not being able to win without him to not really needing him at all. Due to Salah.

Yeah... his runs still open up space, but when he is in possession, he has at times been a bit shocking.

Think people are going a bit overboard. He's actually still contributing very well to our attacking play, creating chances, assists etc.

In terms of goals, he's only scored ONE less than this point last season! If not for the suspension and injury he'd likely be in double figures by now.

Think maybe he's suffering in comparison to how he blew us away last season and how Salah has now exceeded that this season.

People are now getting hung up on every little mistake, but actually he's still playing well overall.

Just saw the match. He looked ok today. Nowhere near as bad as the match thread was hinting.
