Yes. The games gone to **** and the fact that so many people think it was a red almost justifies the rule makers. It's ****ing depressing really. It started with the bull**** about sending keepers off for being the last man, of course they will be it's the keeper. So many red cards when all they did is miss the ball. Accidents should not be a red card. Intent to injure, to foul or to pull back when on goal warrants a red. It's only going to get worse.

Every single ex pro that has commented has said he has to go for the ball.

        Wright, Shearer, Lineker, Henry, Sutton...

Still not a red card for me.

It's a very hard decision for the ref to make....on one hand Mane had every right to go for the BALL and he did....but on the flip side he injured the opposing player! Foul or not? what if that had happened to Mignolet ?

I agree to a point. I remember when I was playing football as a youth going up for a header, another player slipped below me and I landed studs down on his leg and broke his leg.

Similarly I had my collar bone broken in a collision with a keeper, both were accidental both didn't result in a red card.

It's a contact sport, so accidents will happen.

It's a tricky one, but because Mane was focusing on the ball and because the keeper ducked his head it looks bad. Also those blades as opposed to studs are going to leave cuts like that.

As LFC fans 99% are gonna say no foul as would if that was Lukaku on Cech...but as i said if it was an opposing player on Mignolet 100% we[d say a foul and send him off fine lines mate

It was dangerous play regardless of who was about. Has anyone seen the photo of the injuries? Seems dangerous to me. It was done innocently, but it's injured someone.

Am I missing something? Isn't it the length of ban we're appealing rather than red card?

That's not the test though is it? You don't look at the end result and then work backwards.

Anyway, I don't have an opinion on whether it was a red card or not. I couldn't watch or even listen to the game at the time and my sulk has been too strong to watch any replays

I would agree with this, but Moss sent him off without even checking if the keeper was injured or not. Without hesitation he had decided he was off, I can guarantee you if that was Rooney whilst at the Mancs, a yellow would have been shown. It's the constancy that irks as much as the decision.

And another kick in the face at head height, this one laughed off by the ref.....
