Is it possible he's been playing within himself knowing this tournament was coming up and once it's done the AFCON Cup Sadio will unleash himself on the prem??

Our boys are tearing it up at AFCON, Egypt have a tough game tonight too.

Sadio needed somewhere to practice without the constant pressure (Afcon is just a laugh in comparison). Thankfully he's making the most of these practice games. He'll need it as Luis Diaz is poised to take over his position.

This is the kind of competition City have every game because of their illegal activities. No wonder every player is performing at the top of their game, every game.
          One tit for another.

Really happy for Mane, too bad only one of hims and Salah can win it though.
            * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I don't think Diaz will take over, i think it will just allow us more options rotation wise. Diaz could also come in for Mo, and Mane would then pop up on the right wing instead. It's all about options now.

Diaz is not on a par with Sadio yet. Potentially yes, but he still has to earn it, whereas Sadio has done it year after year.

One has been at the peak and is clearly on the decline, they will pass each other on the stairs soon.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

                    Clearly?

He might not have been at the same level last year, but he's still 29 and judging on his showing in AFCON, he's not too far off his best. His workrate is still fantastic and his efficacy in the pressing side of things is such that he won' t be displaced easily.

Think we will see more rotation with the front 3 now.
Getting close to having little drop off when someone else comes in

I wonder if he will be kept back a bit like Jota and others initially?

I’m not sure the AFCON level is much above the Championship level though TBH. Hopefully he’s found some confidence playing in the lower leagues though
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

You clearly haven’t watched African football that much.

You’re right. I’ve found the little I’ve seen of the AFCON to be bad enough
