He was good first hal tbf, glimpses of old Mane. He skinned Valverde 2 or 3 times, but he went missing after half time and went back to seemingly not knowing what he is supposed to do.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostNo he didn't ffs. You don't have to defend every player every time you knjw.Modifying post.

I wouldn’t write Sadio or anyone else off based on this weird season.
There’s loads of obvious possibilities for why his form has suffered.
1 - He had Covid, it could well still be effecting him.
2 - He’s played a **** load of minutes, maybe he’s just exhausted.
3 - He doesn’t have a family, does he? If so then his circle outside of the team must have shrunk away to nothing over the past year. The usual coming and goings of visiting friends and family and being involved in the local Muslim community completely put on hold. Not hard to imagine what a toll that could take on someone’s performance in their professional life.
Honestly find it bizarre that anyone could be at a loss as to why individuals might not have reached their usual standards this season..

Agree with everything after the first sentence.
He’s low on confidence, and maybe the frequency of games or whatever, has caught up with him. I reckon a few weeks off in the summer, to clear his head and he’ll come back strong.
People suggesting he should be shipped on, have short memories and would want their heads examined- this is his fifth season with us and it’s literally the first time that he’s had a bad spell. He’s earning less than ox and Keita- both have been consistently inconsistent for several years... but people think Sadio should be shipped on, after a bad spell, in a very unique season, with a lot of potential contributing circumstances..I don't tip

You're exaggerating by saying he was excellent when he wasn't.Originally posted by Fredo View PostYou're exaggerating. Self reflection and perspective...
Yeah, i am one of the lucky ones that still has a job, but i would be lying to you if i said even my own motivation and 'drive' in my work and personnel life has not dipped immensely... yes i am also tired/exhausted (mentally) this past year and a bit...sure i ain't a world class athlete, but i am also a human being just like you and sadioLast edited by Myo; 15-04-21, 08:30 AM.

100% personally agree and also re: Sadio. He’ll be back to being one of the best in the world when the world gets back to normal.

He's definitely out of form but he also doesn't look as quick.
That incredible burst of pace over 5 yards has gone and he struggles to beat people in a straight up race.
His touch has always been a bit hit and miss - more hit than miss but that's left him too.
Hopefully it's a temporary blip as he's been top class for us for years.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1
