Recovery time. You can stop wearing the sling after a few weeks, but it takes about 12 to 16 weeks to completely recover from a dislocated shoulder. You can usually resume most activities within two weeks, but avoid heavy lifting and playing sports involving shoulder movements for six weeks to three months.

Hopefully thats for us wasters and not elite athlete recovery times. WTF are they doing in training?
