No debate there, my point was that no matter the opposition, he gets into the right positions for us nearly every match, but whereas for the Dutch he seems quite at ease putting these chances away, for us he seems to snatch at them, even when he has time. If he could maintain his cool head for us, he'd be 10+ goals a season better off.

Gini gets in goal scoring positions every game for us, but his composure/luck in front of goal seems to be lacking, yet on the international stage he puts them away with ease. With a little upturn in fortunes, he'll slot away the chances he's been missing for us and become a genuine goal-scoring midfielder for us as well as Holland.

    Can’t argue with that

    Ouch, that hasn't aged well.

That sums me up in a nutshell too. I don’t mind watching the highlights of other teams matches but not the whole match.

Ha, it's the usual suspects time and again.

He's one of the most complete players out there. He played wing at Feyenoord, 8 at PSV, 10 or as a wide forward at Newcastle. In a liverpool shirt he has played all of those plus 6 before Fabinho came, false 9 at Barca and even that one game against Brighton as a makeshift centre back.

If you didn't know what type of player he was it's likely only because he's so versatile.

the only weaker part of his game is finishing but if his role allows, he scores goals. Has been banging them in for the Netherlands recently.

Same. When we signed him I thought he'd be playing further forward and was there to add goals more than anything. Was really surprised how he performed playing deeper.
