I've not been back through this thread looking for my old posts but one of the things that I remember saying about him in the early days was that I didn't really know what type of player he was and what his role in the side should be. I think now we've found a role that suits him and he's become a top player.

Fabinho is a lot of the time the highest up field when we do not have the ball as the other two cover and help us remain in shape. Sometimes it's Gini and sometimes it's Hendo. We started dropping off and allowed City to dictate the game when Hendo came off on Sunday. He was covering that right side brilliantly and Sterling could not exert too much an influence on the game until the last 15/20 mins.

We are not as effective when our high press is not functioning and our challenge is to keep that up until the end of the season.

We need a 23 year old ready to step into his boots....We don’t want this squad to just grow old. We need youngsters snapping at their heels. I guess that’s what Ox and Naby are doing.

Gini is a big game player, such a well rounded footballer. Has been a brilliant signing for us.

His close control when pressured is outstanding.

He was superb the weekend and gave the kind of performance that I thought Naby would bring....I still think he will

Couple of times with City swarming all over him, he dropped a shoulder and turned them all, leaving them facing the opposite direction.

Salah also did it, which shows he’s getting back to his best... they weren’t coming off in games a few weeks back
