For me the biggest gap we have in our team is the ability to score from outside the box. If teams sit deep and our intricate passing game isn't on it, then we struggle to break teams down. When we had Gerrard, then he could hurt teams from distance. So could Coutinho.

It is a gap that we all hoped that Keita could fill. Perhaps he still can. Hopefully Oxlade can also.

Gini can score goals as his track record has proven, he just plays such a deep and disciplined role for us that it's completely negated from his game.

He has always been decent yes, but imo that Roma game was when he turned it up a few notches and he hasn’t looked back.

Sorry but I profoundly disagree. Many of his earlier performances were well below par. At times, especially away from home, he was like a passenger. He has definitely upped his game in the last year or so. I think it’s somewhat revisionist to suggest otherwise.

Yeah I agree but he’s become more consistent of late. Hes always had it in him but went missing from time to time which probably swayed peoples judgement on him.

Turning point for Gini (IMO) was when he came on for Ox in the CL semi. Been pretty much superb since.
