Played 12, won 9, drawn 3 yet apparently we are "disjointed" and carrying "bang average" players.

We've been outstanding this season, nobody has stated otherwise. We have been left short in the midfield and have been filling gaps by not being able to play our strongest line up. We are strong defensively, clinical in front of goal this season & have the best player in the world smashing it this season.. that is why we have played 12, won 9 and drawn 3. Once bodies get back, we should be able to played our strongest midfield which will only improve us imo.Originally posted by Pablo View PostPlayed 12, won 9, drawn 3 yet apparently we are "disjointed" and carrying "bang average" players.Last edited by danperkins; 20-10-21, 04:04 PM.

After all the tantrums during the summer and people being made to look like complete idiots, they need to cling on to something they can moan about and hepefully get to say "I was right" eventually.Originally posted by Pablo View PostPlayed 12, won 9, drawn 3 yet apparently we are "disjointed" and carrying "bang average" players. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We absolutely need another CM, personally I think Keita will be moved on in the summer & Milner will be phased out. Hendo has struggled a bit this season alright but I think his role has changed since Gini left, maybe he is finding it harder to adapt. Milner has had a brilliant career everywhere he has been & Henderson has proven to be a fantastic captain and been outstanding for us for years. Keita has done none of these things and we paid €50 odd million for him, he's either injured, coming back from injury or bang average in most games, fair play to anyone desperately trying to pull any sliver of positivity from his performances in a LFC shirt but there is a reason why people are pointing the finger at him. For value for money he has been a pretty bad signing.
He did cost us two goals last night and was whipped at half time.. that is why the thread was bumped

Needs to be moved on ASAP maybe as a swap load deal in January or wait until the summer and get 20m or so for him. As I said last night Naby is Klopp's biggest flop in the transfer market by a long way but it happens all managers **** up from time to time even ours who get's it right 90% of the time.

Just on the highlighted bit. I would say we need two midfielders coming in in the near future and not one given the ages of some of our midfield and the fitness issues of others.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

yeah agree with this. I'm hoping we have something up our sleeves.

Well Goretzka signed a new deal it seems. Valverde is on a long term contract and Real nicked Camavinga on me.
So you are going to have to settle for Nkunku as our new more advanced midfielder and Tchouameni as our new box to box
guy who can also sit deep.
So it shall be written, so it shall be done.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

It's a shame any of our players get abuse, even if they don't have a good game, they don't deserve it.Originally posted by RedReet View PostGets off lightly? He gets abuse every game, regardless of how he plays. We have a 100% win rate with him in the team this year, so he clearly is good enough.
When I say gets off lightly, lots of people throw around hyperbole about other average midfielders to have played for the club, e.g a Raul meireles for example, he was a decent player, not **** as some might claim and not incredible either. For me, naby falls into this same category.
That descriptive stat you quote may be true but it's irrelevant to his individual performances at the club to date.
Since he joined Liverpool have an incredibly high win rate regardless of who plays so taking any sample of games when the team is in good form is not indicative of a strong causal link.Last edited by Corndog; 20-10-21, 10:34 PM.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

You could make the argument that defenders can still clear the ball lemar pulls back and it's true, it could have been cleared but actually he's so close to goal with space near the byline and it's hit with such pace, I think that's unfair to blame any of them for not doing so.Originally posted by rudedog View PostThere was loads of issues with the goal, Naby got done but why did Griezman have so much time and space to get the shot off?
Also, the goal shouldn’t have even stood, Pepe was offside and stopped Mapit from clearing off the line.
Keita got done too easily on his goal side.
You can make an argument that any goal conceded on the field cannot be down to one single player 100 percent but the majority of the fault for that first goal lies with him.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!
