Naby has to go just based on his availability alone as if it was footballing reasons I’d keep him.

Lst season he missed 8 games through injury.Originally posted by Tribute View Post
As good as he can be (he's shown glimpses), he's not available 75% of the time... huge waste of talent. Needs to go in the summer. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Well it wasn’t his fitness, because as we just established, he was fit.Originally posted by Tribute View PostSo it was either his form or fitness that meant he wasn’t near the starting line up the majority of the time…
No, it was because we used him as Thiago’s rotation. We know that neither of them are going to manage 40+ starts a season like a Gini, so we alternated them with each other so as not to overload either of them..

Don't think it is. Wijnaldum left that way. Can left that way.
We got Milner that way. We got Matip that way.
And those are just recent examples for us.

we can't force teams to bid on the players we want to get rid of. that'd be nice, but i think the answer to a lot of the questions folks have about why our squad hasn't been refreshed could be because nobody wanted them. AOC will have a hell of a time finding a club unless he drops his wage demands. any of our players who will be out of contract could be signing contracts abroad by now i think, and even on a free nobody has signed any of them yet.
maybe they're trying, who knows, but for the most part i think our midfield players just aren't worth what they'd sell for, and in some cases what their wages would be. you do get paid for seniority and time spent places, it's the same at my job, so i don't really blame the club for giving some of the contracts that they have over time, but it does mean that by the ends of those contracts, it may be that those players are just not worth that money anymore for anyone just starting a relationship with those players.

Nah i think it is to be honest. If we got 7 or 8 years out of him then id agree. But to sign a 23 year old, play him for 5 years and release him at 28 is a ****in **** gig. Again if he was like Gini and we literally flogged him for the 5 years, then you could justify it. But i think if he plays every game for the rest of the season (which he won't) then he will have made about 100 appearances for Liverpool.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostDon't think it is. So 53m transfer fee, 120k per week for 5 years amounts to an 84, 200,000 investment on lfcs part. £842,000 for every one of those 100 games that he played. This would have made Mbappe on a free transfer but a million quid a week wage look like a cheao deal all round.
Having said all of that, it would probably still be a bad idea to extend his deal and throw good money after baf. I think.
You just know that he will end up ripping it up at his next gig though ffs
