Yep. Somehow this dysfunctional team, lacking leaders, with a **** midfield and leaky defence has only lost 2 games this season.

We just beat a previously undefeated Man City team who some pundits had down as the best team ever. We did it without our £75m CB and without replacing our star creative CM who we sold for £140m.

We are very close right now.

We have a team capable of competing for a top four place. Would be nice to compete for top spot. Anyone who thinks we don't need better quality is short-sighted.

And a manager that's just blagging it too.

        Jammy ****ers we are.

Also, if City are clear favourites for CL, what does that make us?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Cheer up. Didn’t you say we’d get hammered yesterday and have spent most of the season saying Firmino is wank?

Yes I did say we'd be thumped. I haven't been saying Firmino is wank. I also didn't suggest we forfeit the game.

We're also level points with a **** Utd side. What does that make us?

Great win yesterday, but the overreaction is typical Liverpool fan (not aimed at you btw ).

We should all be like you predicting we’ll get battered every game and saying the players are crap.

Grow up Chris? (how many times has that been said ) I'm a realist trying to judge us objectively (not flipping from describing players as either 'gods' or 'cunts').

Some of our players are mediocre. What's wrong with wanting better quality?

There was nothing realistic or objective about saying we’d get hammered yesterday. Since when do we get battered at Anfield by anyone?! And they were by their high standards relatively out of form recently. Sure want an upgrade in midfield, we probably all do but “one good game in 5 from our midfielders” is clearly nonsense too.

Obviously we want to improve still but we have options at RB, CB and unbelievably LB. Midfield we need more quality and up top we might struggle if we lose one of the 3 for any length of time but the squad has improved, we're level points with the Mancs in 2nd and unbeaten in 18 games.

There's a lot to be happy about.

There's so much to be happy about. I love our football under Klopp. We also have some very good players. (some of our youth players also look good) But I really want us to improve (continue to improve).

I agree that we need better quality in midfield (Wijnaldum, Can and Henderson have been inconsistent. Ox and Keita give me hope). We also need a quality striker (not necessarily as a replacement for Firmino - he's had an excellent half a season and long may it continue).

We shouldn't be afraid to discuss areas of improvement.
