Shame he didn't want to love to stay.

FWIW.....a few of his efforts from long-mid range would go down nicely at times for this team this season, as we can possibly do better on that front.

But, of course, he's a bollocks. Of more importance, I think Klopp might feel the same.

His return is right out there in the left field.

Persistent back injury prevented him from playing consistently. Yeh right.

    Enjoy the sun, mother****er.

I'd take him on loan, then play him in the domestic cups.

He is quality but not the top level elite player his price tag led everyone to believe. I would take him back but for no more than £60m tops.

As wonderful a player as he is, it would somehow feel retrograde to take him back. Would rather look elsewhere.

Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for Philippe Coutinho but a move to Manchester United does not seem likely, Goal understands.

The Red Devils have been strongly linked with the Brazilian, while a return to Liverpool has also been reported in some quarters, but a switch to the Premier League is not currently an option for Coutinho.

Goal understands that the midfielder is put off the idea of heading back after his family struggled to fully adapt to life in England, with Paris Saint-Germain appearing the most plausible option.

The Barca board would be willing to discuss offers of in excess of €80m (£68.8m/$90.8m), a significant loss on the initial €120m (£103m/$136m) that they paid in 2018 to sign him from Liverpool.

I'd be surprised if they did, They need a whole new back four and a DM to replace Matic. Can't see Utd spending that big if they fail top get in the CL either.

I think they'll want their money back on him, especially if it was us or another PL team.

Mancs would likely pony up the cash for him

Flying in the face of my previous decision - I also guess in terms of value for money Barca will be looking at £100m plus. For that money I’d go elsewhere.

I'm not sure Klopp would go back for him certainly without a change in agent. He is the type of footballer we could do with in the middle but I think we'll look elsewhere for someone that he can mould and develop and is hungry to join us.
