the starting formation was a bit odd given how well drilled we are in that 433.

Having those three lads in the middle, is what allows the full backs to get forward as 1 will cover it and there is another 2 in the middle still. Leaving just one and teams will cut us apart.

they had some alright chances and there was luck in our goals, could have easily been a different game.

I think its why Milner is playing so well in the 'centre midfield' position, he's never actually there. He'll be left back as Robertson bombs on then a minute later stood on the right flank crossing it in, cant get away with that with a two.

And why Fabinho has been left out as he has absolutely no idea where to be.

Three nil up at half time and he shuts the game down successfully. We have had the games previously where we start to let teams back in but that’s disappeared.

It’s a pretty harsh critic who can pick fault this season. Won all our games, only conceded 2. Haven’t conceded in the league in absolutely ages. Seeep aside Spurs away and PSG in the CL.

This exactly. How often has criticism been levelled at the team for not managing games in past seasons & with Chelsea twice & City coming up it was the sensible move.

The atmosphere was just as bad in the 1st half when we were scoring 3.
The game was won. It’s Klopp’s job to manage the team and we’re in the middle of a string of tough games. He shouldn’t have to manage the crowd too.

was saying it yesterday myself & how many times was it mentioned last season. I was in Anfield for 4 matches last season and was shocked at how bad the atmosphere was. Trying to sing and get crowd going and people looking at you like you threatened to kill their family. Joke

For me although we scored 3 the first half system was a little dysfunctional

Firmino looked isolated playing on the left, and couldnt be moved inside because the areas he was likely to be dropping off into were being occupied by Shaqiri

They got down our left far too easily as well

Second half when Firmino was moved centrally and Mane reverted to the left we controlled the game far more easily

They got down our left far too easily as well

Second half when Firmino was moved centrally and Mane reverted to the left we controlled the game far more easily

Might be a worthwhile tactic to blitz lesser teams into submission before controlling the game in the second half. Especially if four subs are allowed like the Champions League.

Should’ve done better with the amount of space he was afforded in second half but apart from that, he was good.
