He looks more comfortable/ effective played central don't you think? He’s not the rapid ball over the top chaser like Mo & Mane which Origi seems more suited to that role I think.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Definitely seemed to be more on wavelength with our other players yesterday. A few nice interchanges and a well taken goal (which he 100% should have finished)
Nice to see and should give us an option to push Mo into the middle and take Bobby off if we need to shake the front 3 up at all.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I'm really rooting for this lad, that goal will help him massively. Hope he bangs a few more in and is a massive success here.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

He's really settling in now and definitely looks much more of a false nine type forward than anything else. Hopefully it'll put a rocket up Bobby's arse. Nice to have the option of giving Bobby a rest if he's not doing the business and bringing Taki in.Last edited by Shaggy; 25-09-20, 11:59 AM.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He might not be scoring goals but he's still vital.
Watch the first goal we scored against Chelsea on Sunday. The one two and the cross for the goal

He's great, no question but the lack of goals is an issue. It just is. I know it's ridiculously early days in the season but:Originally posted by spud_gun View Post

Minamino 3 goals
Bobby 0.
If that trend continues eventually something will have to give. He's a forward, there's an inherent acceptable minimum goal output for him and he's starting to push that limit IMO.
I'm really hoping Minamino will push him to up his game again.

That's not saying much, if Bobby played last night he could've ended up on 4 or 5 alone. If we win the league and FA cups with Minamino scoring 20 goals in both competitions, the weight is still incomparable to 10-15 league and CL goals imo.

but the point still stands IMO. Bobby isn't undroppable and if he struggles for goals, and someone like Minamino is banging them in when he plays (whatever competition that might be) then that will eventually have to be taken into consideration. It'd be unfair otherwise.

Our play keeps adapting so I think its dangerous to compare players from one season to another.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHe's great, no question but the lack of goals is an issue. It just is. I know it's ridiculously early days in the season but:

If Bobby was missing chances which were costing us then I'd be worried but that's not the case. He's on the pitch for other reasons and it works well.
Minamino miles off a Bobby level imo.
