Xabi and Thiago in the middle must have been a sight to behold
Did not happen a lot but was like watching adults play keep ball against kids when it did.
Thiago in the middle with Goretzka was a sight especially in games when Kimmich was played with them in the CDM role and not at RB.
Then again just watch Thiago with Fabinho and you get a similar level of quality as watching Thiago and Kimmich play. We just need a prime level Goretzka of our own to go with them.
It does say a hell of a lot about Thiago that he can play alongside guys like Alonso, Goretzka, Kimmich, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita etc and still stand out.
Even more amazing that he is not a nailed on starter for his country.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Interesting comment from Jurgen in the post match press conference where he said Thiago told him he taught him how to run.
Could explain his injuries in the previous season and how is is becoming less injury prone as time goes on.

Reason: nothing to see here.....
To me it might mean that he had to adapt to the physicality of how we play and that tweaking ended up breaking him in the short term as his body adpted. Or I am over thinking a throw away comment. Probably that tbh still a bit rought today.
I read it as he coasted through playing for Barca and Bayern as he knew he was the best player. When he got here and seen how good Naby was, he had to up his game and start running more.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
Once he saw the standards being set by oxlade he knew that he would have to put in more effort to be a seriously good dancer, and ultimately it meant he was more injury prone.
A couple of baptisms from Becker and the Holy water hit the spot, now he is unbreakable.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
