I remember when he signed and the general consensus from the opposition fans was that they all may as well give up as we'd be winning the league for sure with him as an addition.

Yeah, because teams just queue up to buy our high waged crocks. [emoji16].

I think we need an all action midfielder alongside him to get the best out. Someone not made of balsa wood. The kind Henderson used to be. He is definitely a great option on paper. Probably needs some games.

Probably too early for that call. Same question in March next year though after more injuries and would be a solid Yay.

That's a tough one, I would say that when fit he's in our first choice midfield and that there are other players you would be looking to move on first, but those players are unlikely to get you that kind of money. I guess it depends on the real financial position of the club, if selling him is the difference between us being able to bring in a top player who will be a long term option (e.g. Bellingham) I would say yes, if we have money put aside to bring someone like that in then it is probably unnecessary.

+1. Thiago is quality but like Joe Gomez, you just know his first few games back after an injury he's going to be gash.

End of last season he was the biggest reason for our form. Such a marked difference in quality between him and the likes of Ox and Taki.. drop off is huge.
