He’s a left winger/attacker that does his best work in the box. Doesn’t mean he can’t be effective in other positions but that is where I think he’s at his best. Elliott looks more like a potential false 9 than Diogo to me but he’s not quite there yet.
Fair enough but I do feel we miss Bobby’s intricate forward play when Jota plays, but Jota is the poacher that we needed, so I might be comparing him unfairly to Bobby.
I thought Bobby's passing and link up play was really poor in the time he was on, He under or over hit at least 2 or 3 what should have been simple passes

His ability to get a shot away early separates him from everyone else in the squad. The others tend to take longer and at times dally more. Downside is jota offers little in the game when played central. As a trade off I take the goals over ball retention.
