Had me worried, it was Gerard Houllier for a moment.

      What happened there?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

          That is a genuine shock.

          RIP Ged.

Will always remember him as the manager who made me start to dream again after years of watching the team slump.

Seems to be breaking now alright.

He never seemed in the best of health in recent years.

He's a big part of our history. That Roma return.

This has come as quite a shock. RIP Ged. We owe you much. I'll never forget the summer of "Three cups, and the Champions League"...

                      Awful news.

Someone with his recent health issues will have been high risk for Coronavirus.
Such a genuinely nice person and a huge figure in the evolution of the club.

                      RIP Gerrard, YNWA
                      Modifying post.

He was moments from death while managing us.

It's a miracle / madness that he ever returned to management after his heart issues.

RIP Gerard. For those around my age, he was the first manager that really made me believe we could win again. He gave it his all, he almost gave his life for the cause. They were magic times.
