Some great memories, it was under him that there was the first time we genuinely looked like competing properly 2001 was massive, his methods changed our direction as a club and allowed Rafa to come in and win the CL and compete with the big boys of europe.
Thanks for the memories Ged
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Thanks for the memories Ged - will never forget the UEFA cup final, what a game that was
I’ve followed LFC for a long time but Geds arrival coincided with the early days of the internet and the arrival of the fan forums (koptalk for me) so I think there is some extra resonance in that I’d never discussed a previous manager (and LFC in general) as much as we did in those early days!

Ferguson:
Reacting to the loss, Sir Alex said: “The news has come as a total shock this morning. Gerard Houllier was still a young man at the age of 73.
“Gerard became a really good friend during his time at Liverpool. We remained great friends after he left and he was always a great ally to have.
“He had fantastic football knowledge which he gained during his extensive and varied career. When we saw each other at UEFA meetings or other events, we would often enjoy a chat, he was always great company and I will miss him dearly. He was a true gentleman.
“It is a sad day for the football world and my thoughts are with his family at this desperately sad time.”Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
