It's chances like last night he could do with sticking away more often,

I saw a thing recently with Lampard, talking about how he scored so many goals and what his thought process was when he got a sight of goal. "Just hit the target" he said, and went on to say how a lot of players always look right for the corner, that side netting. Diaz to me seems to look for the very corner every time, it's why he hits the post so often or fizzes it an inch or two wide. They look great when Diaz's efforts go in, but very few players have that unerring ability to stick it right in the corner every time, like Fowler did. Perhaps Diaz should start worrying less about finding the corners and be a bit more pragmatic.
        Thanks very much for being

Is Lampard saying that Luis should be aiming at opposition players?

I think Jota is good at that. He seems to focus on just hitting the target, usually at pace (although he hasn't scored in ages ). Diaz has a powerful shot too, so I agree he should be looking to get it on target more often.

That Geralt of Rivia in goal for them yesterday looked about 55 too so we should have tested him more.

Like someone said earlier that we all recall Suarez hitting the bar a lot in his early days with us before becoming the goal machine! Main thing is that Diaz is getting into those positions before letting rip...only a matter of time!

Hopefully sooner rather than later but yeah he’s getting into the right spots at least.

Think he went from 1 in 4 first couple of seasons to not far of 1 in 1 last 2 seasons.

BUT he always looked class. Nunez from his blooper reel in Portual and here, Doesnt seem to know how to control a ball. Looks way to easy to rattle as well, although he may shake that off eventually.

I think Suarez got 82 goals and 47 assists in 133 games for us. That is pretty much one a game.

His total stands at 400/441 for his career.

                            At Ajax he had 180/159.

Diaz had 59/125 at Porto, and 15/35 so far at Liverpool.

They are not in the same class. That is not to say Diaz cannot improve, but the numbers are not even close.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

It’d be a lot easier if someone changed the thread titles to just Luis Diaz & Darwin Nunez instead of the convoluted title they’ve chosen to use though
