Dare I say it - he's looking like the Diaz we initially bought before that rapist at Arsenal crocked him.

He also had 100% pass accuracy

His defensive work was also really impressive, he won the ball back a number of times

Yeah he has been brilliant direct and a bit of end product, he made that finish look easy.

You’d best start slagging off TAA for not signing a contract extension

I have a feeling he has already decided he wants out, but is hedging his bets until Real Madrid decide to come in or not for him with a pre contract in January.

Do think he would get a sharp shock if he joined Real though.

Great team, a winning team. But he would suddenly go from being one of the best players in the team with us and adored locally to being a player that is just part of the team for them.

Mbappe, Bellingham, Vini Jr etyc will be the star names.

Hell if rumours are correct he might not even be the most exciting (on cureent and recent form) full back signing they make next summer (and man do I wish we were trying to get Davies on a free next sumer or for a fee this January)

And not a hope in hell he gets to play in midfield for Real. Far too many midfielders there that are simply better in midfield than him so if he goes there he best get it into his head he is a right back again imo.

I totally agree now that I think he’s off on a free in the summer & that will suck big time. Bad enough to lose him but for free is a travesty.

I think he’s staying and it will be announced soon. It’ll be the biggest contract of his career and is money related and will be resolved. Mo and Virgil I’m not convinced about, obviously because of their ages and possible expectations in term of contract length, and needing money for Trent’s wages.

Hope Diaz keeps on scoring this season so I can go in two footed on that guy in the transfer thread who wanted him sold....

Great finish for the second and he was unlucky not to have two last weekend. Could have scored a similar one but for a top save from the keeper.
