I think it's well known his basic is £55k a week. Obviously he gets appearance and performance bonuses that at best double that.
Woefully underpaid when you consider Robertson's on almost 3x the basic.

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. It’s been cleared up by I think Joyce or Pearce that he is not on a base salary of £55,000 and his base salary is in the 6 figures.

        ??
So his base salary is £55k
If he doesn’t play or pick up any bonuses he gets £55k not £100k+
Robbo gets £160k if he doesn’t play or pick up any bonuses

Don't you think there is a risk with too much change? He was arguably our best player from January onwards, he never fades at the end of the season like some of our other players do.

I like Diaz as a player and definately want to keep him at the club, but the question is where does he play, Gakpo would appear to be first choice from the left. When both played it was Gakpo down the left and Diaz through the middle. Was that because Diaz is more flexible in his positioning and therefore more suited to the central role, or because Slot preferred Gakpo on the left?

Also what system will we play this season,I can see a change of formation coming so who knows who will play where.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think it's all about his price tag. £80m and that's a pretty good deal

I thought Gakpo only played left because Nunez was crap and Diaz was better in the middle than Gakpo. That said I still thought Diaz was a bit rubbish in the middle, and is best deployed down the left.

I dont think our foward line was at all good as a unit regardless, and more like a bunch of individuals thar a well oiled machine. As good as Diaz is, he is nowhere near as effective as Mane was, and Gakpo seems to provide decent numbers there. Id take the 80 million., and get another player who can play all across the line.

I guess it cones down to where Wirtz plays. I still think he goes into the false 9.

With Kerkez and Frimpong bombing down the wings, we need the 3 midfielders to be machine like to fill in the gaps, and that includes Domplaying at the amc role
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

I doubt he’ll play as a false 9. The club is looking to sign a new 9 to replace Nunez. I thought he might originally but all the reliable journos are saying a 9 and a CB are the next targets once we sell some players.

Looks like he's staying, Barca ready to complete on Nico Williams.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Good news if it means any links to Anthony Gordon disappear as I just don't see it with him - no upgrade on Gakpo or Diaz for me. The only upside would be that he's English

Always makes me chuckle that he's English. He looks even more Scottish than the Proclaimers

It was always Saudi or stay for him I think, they are the only ones who can pay what we want. I did see some rumours of Raphina to Saudi which would give them some cash

If Lucho is happy to stay at current contract salary or he fancies the Saudi coin

Gordon would tear it up for us and the amount of fumeothermal energy from the bitters could be harnessed to power the country.

Ah, forgot about the possibility of the dirty money.

And Gordon, he'll save every one of us.
