I'd imagine works his ass off, very talented but just isn't clinical in front of goal.

I was shouting for him to play the percentages and round the keeper. I can see what he was trying to do and he had the space to do it and his technique wasn't altogether terrible, he just fluffed it.

Played well though in the second half.

Yeah he was a constant menace to their defence, him and Nunez must be a nightmare to play against. If he could somehow improve his final touch / finishing he would be world class. Can’t wait to hopefully see how these players develop next season. I’d probably sell gakpo in the summer to bring in some new blood.

I was pretty pissed off with his poor finishing and general wasteful play at times yesterday but the lad absolutely buried himself with effort yesterday.

The other way round with Mo on the end of it and we are 95+% looking at a goal. He loves scoring clutch goals against City.

Just shows that 1% that separates the greats from the also rans. Diaz needs to add this to his game.

                  Nunez would have lobbed him.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                    Nah he's done that now.

He'd have rainbow flick lobbed him

I still think he needs to show more. He is capable of it. Right now he's like a technically gifted Kuyt, and I loved the guy, but after years of Mane / Firmino / Salah I think this club should expect better output of our +£50m players.

Mo was just as guilty of throwing away chances yesterday, his passing was well off. Sometimes think he does it on purpose

Yip, he gave possession away a couple of times in the build up. Hopefully it was just rustiness after his injury, but that first pass after coming on, think it was to set Diaz up was world class.

so much pressure was building when we couldnt get out of our own half, he was like a release valve getting us up the pitch, some will focus on the miss but we would have been ****ed without him yesterday

Jota would have rounded the keeper and slotted no question.
