Ser Kenneth out in full force. What a surprise

Everyone totally ignoring how diabolically **** Salah was all game as usual.

The chance Nunez ****ed up should never have even been a chance if Mo didn't shank an easy header wide.

At least Darwin put himself about and got on the end of things. Mo ****ed up literally every single touch.

What on earth are you on about

You going to pull up every single bad pass in the game? Because there were a lot...or are we just playing the pathetic Nunez blame game picking up random **** in a game full of it from all our players?

Mo only has himself to blame btw. Missed a tap in header that Darwin then blazed over the bar.

Darwin was poor against Luton. His finishing was poor. It's got nothing to do with any other player.
        Another MASSIVE game

          Enigma.

The manner in which he missed such a complete sitter negating anything positive he may have contributed in the game.

Costly, like an error prone keeper.

I would keep playing him though, we need to know quickly, I.e this season.. if he's ever going to get that out of his game.

(Wasn't too keen on the regular long range shooting either but that's another story)

Most of the front were poor today. I'd still play him again.

Definitely not against a low block, Gakpo is far more suited. He’s better suited to more open games or as a late sub.

Yeah I disagree with this. He is who he is. He will miss chances and this one cost us, but he offers so much that he still has big value. He isn't clinical like Van Nistelrooy, but you don't need to be to win titles. There are many ways to do it.

(That said I still think he can improve key things like his concentration etc. that would make him more likely to tuck these types of chances away).

??? you 100% do, especially in this era when you know you can only afford to drop points maybe 7 times a season.

Imagine that miss in a champions league final. It would be Karius all over again where all doubt was ended that we needed better.

He has to get that out of his game to be the player we need him to be.

I was wondering about his concentration, or is it that he just likes to swing his foot at everything? Sometimes just tapping it into the net will do....

I’d much rather have a clinical finisher than a bringer of chaos tbh. The question isn’t whether he’s fun to watch, but rather is he a good enough goal scorer to be Liverpool’s number nine and that is really up in the air still. He’s posting similar numbers to Bobby in terms of goals per game but offers soooooo much less to our overall play. In fact, having a speed merchant trying to play off the shoulder probably encourages opponents to play a deeper line and that nullified his threat and our overall threat. It takes a team like
Newcastle, who think they can commit to coming at us, to leave that space that he needs. We dominate most teams in the division in terms of possession and we are forced to play in tight spaces and between lines and our centre forward should be a player who excels in those circumstances. I don’t see Darwin developing his game to fit that role and he should be Darwin ‘super sub’ Nunez now Gakpo is fit.

This is the problem I have... Sitting deeper because of Nunez also gives the other two strikers less space. He is not connecting play as well in that situation either.

Id rather we play a false 9, and maybe play him wider.
