Can he actually make those adjustments though? That remains to be seen.
It was the RVP reference in another article that got me interested. I had listed him along with a load of other PL players I felt developed into clinical forwards later in their careers, but I had actually forgotten how much Van Persie was guilty of hitting the woodwork.

Another recent example who wasn't mention is Brian Mbuemo, who most fantasy football players will be well aware of. In his first PL season he only scored 4 times, but hit the woodwork 7. Granted, he's hardly prolific now, but those shots are now going in instead of hitting the crossbar and this season he has 7 in 15 games and no crossbars (I think). It seems for most players, these high numbers eventually turn into goals, as one would expect.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Mbuemo profiles v similarly to Mane before he joined us

Has to be said, Nunez was poor again today. Not the best day for our strikers generally but he didn't do much apart from run around and be offside quite a bit.

Agreed he wasn't at his best today but the 'creative' players in the team created **** all for our front men today until Gakpo and Gomez came on.

Agreed. That was when Palace were tiring of course but it's true all the same.

He was brutal. Probably his worst game for us.

                Edit: Not very good Norbs.

He badly needs a goal now. Any sort.

Mo got his goal and assist as that is what he does, we won't appreciate that until he's gone, but our whole forward line just not on it at the minute.

Similarly, probably shows how we take Jota for granted.

                      Absolutely. I miss Jota

What was he supposed to do? He relies on the midfield passing him the ball. They faffed about with it so much he was constantly having to check his runs. Our midfield was ****, that was the problem.

He wasn’t checking them very well. He cheaply played himself offside a number of times today. The midfield was poor generally and it was a frustrating game for him, but Nunez’s offsides were largely on him.

How's about for once I his life he doesn't stray offside?

Your excuses for his poor performances are getting embarrassing.

What the **** are you on about? Have you been drinking?

Once in his life. Its that kind of hyperbolic **** that is embarrassing.

Youre acting like he's offside every single time the ball ever gets passed to him. Which is clearly not the case. It was one game. Yeah, he got caught a few times trying to steal a yard against a team sitting so deep we had to try get any advantage we could.

                              carry on though...
