Thanjk you.

Now there was a guy that knew how to miss an easy chance. They both don't come close to the great Bobby Firmino though.

Ive seen plenty of great players miss just as easy chances over the years.
Even Mo has missed some goals that seem harder to miss than score
Happens
Just happens far too often with our Darwin unfortunately and its why his time is probably up.

He’s had too many of these misses in quite a short stint with us. He seems like a good lad and you can’t fault his commitment to the side but he doesn’t seem to have the composure on a regular basis. I’m sure he’s absolutely gutted but he’s just not the right guy for us up top.
Think this Summer a parting of the ways is best for him and the club
Having looked at it again in slow motion, I reckon had he not hit it so high the defender was getting a foot on it anyway. Still poor though. Fans are fickle, if he scores the winner on Sunday he will be a fan favourite again.
Nah, to be honest, he has had his chance. Multiple times. It's like Keita all over again. A stopped clock is right twice a day but for me the test is "would he get into any of our rivals teams / squads" and "can we sign a better player for not much more than we could sell him for?"
The answers are No and Yes respectively so he has to go. Had we sold him in Jan and plumped for Marmoush (probably not possible as he is possibly getting back hander wages under the table) then we would be flying.
Nunez may do an Antony and rip it up in another league or for another team. But he ain't doing it for us.

Yes and no to that for me.
Yes to Nunez having been given a chance and it looking like we need to move him on and get in someone that better suits how we want to play.
No to Marmoush (not that he is an option now) being a defo upgrade. Yes he got a hattrick in one game for City but think he has played a part in five or six games for them now and that one game is the only one he scored in so far too soon to judge him at PL level.
My gut feeling is that he may turn out to be decent rather than great. Let's not forget he was bought off of the back of an amazing half season not to dissimilar to how we bought Nunez off the back of a great season.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Listening to Slot talking about Darwin in the presser and how he can accept the chance was missed but that he isn't happy with how Darwin reacted in the 20 mins after the chance & that is what Slot isn't happy about. Saying he didn't work and help the team like he usually does and got in his own head. Said he will talk to him about that and tell him that you can miss a chance but you can't not miss out on work rate.

Just needs binning for the enthusiastic and infectious Chiesa for when Gakpo isn't available. Need winners and mood lifters in the next few weeks
