Not a disaster like Ricky Lambert, I agree.Originally posted by DerKrampus View PostI don't think he's been a terrible signing, he's had his moments and while his return is middle of the road, he's no Ricky Lambert.
But for 68-85m pounds, his signing has been terrible, in that it has stopped us buying a truly impactful attacker for our team

It’s obvious that Arne doesn’t rate him so it’ll be interesting to see who he replaces him with. There’s a few players that Jurgen trusted that seem to not be rated now by Slot so the pressure will be on him to chose who replaces who. I know the committee have the final say but Arne must have a say in the type of player he wants.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

There it is folks. Darwin has categorically failed the danjerkins 'fit and proper footballer' test.Originally posted by danperkins View PostYeah he's been absolutely ****e
An 'absolutely ****e' signing

Fearsome?Originally posted by memzey View PostHe's not been ****e. He's actually fearsome when deployed in a system and setup that suits him. We don't do that. He's not ****e. He's also not the right No. 9 for us. Good luck to him and we move on.
The only things fearing Nunez are the post, crossbar and anyone standing behind the goals.

It is a bit concerning that the more time Slot has had with the team, the less effective all our attackers have become.
Have they though?
Diaz is having his best season for us in terms of goals ( though I still find him to be a very frustrating player at the best of times)
Salah is having an amazing season.
Gakpo has already equalled his best season with us for goals.
Jota is injury prone so I rarely count on him.
Nunez seems to have regressed/not suited the system.
Chiesa is the only real odd one there in that he plays well when used but rarely gets a chance to build upon a good cameo.
I do think our attacking play is disjointed at times, but at the same time we are the top scorers in the league by some distance.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

He was well serviced under Klopp. His second season was his best, but even when his all round performance was decent or better, his finishing remained painfully unreliable.Originally posted by memzey View PostHe's not been ****e. Not ****e, but not good enough either and definitely overpriced..

Not really. He hasn't been consistently elite, no one is going to argue that, but he has had periods where he's been almost unplayable. Particularly when he receives the ball on the run or is running on to it. We just don't play in a way that creates that sort of scenario for him frequently enough for him to be the right player for us. Instead, those opportunities are directed towards our wide right forward and Darwin does his best with whatever he's given.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostFearsome?

He's not ****e, but he's not right for us either. It's a shame but we move on.It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.
