Thanjk you.

He's not been ****e. He's actually fearsome when deployed in a system and setup that suits him. We don't do that. He's not ****e. He's also not the right No. 9 for us. Good luck to him and we move on.
pretty much

I’ve said it before he has everything you’d want in a forward apart from the ability to finish his chances consistently.
Passing, technique and game intelligence, along with that composure you mention imo is lacking and has been exposed at the highest level. His instinct, work rate and heart were never in question and will serve him well elsewhere, he's still young.
Once we get a decent fee, both parties will be happy imo.

He's 26 in a couple of months. That's not young in a world where players of 32 are deemed old.

He's should be in the prime of his career.
He's still young in fairness & has at least 10 years left in his career. 'Prime' years are very much individual I suppose and can span over 3 or 5 years ish. The issue with Nunez is pace fades and that's one of his best assets. Whatever are his 'prime' years, i'm happy as a LFC fan if he can spend them elsewhere as he's not good enough. Best of luck to him

I think he’s shown he has more than you suggest but it’s his mental side that gets in the way. He seems way too emotional and can’t keep his composure like you said but that has stopped him from being able to do the rest consistently. He’s at his best when he doesn’t have to think about it too much.
That is probably what drew Klopp to wanting him, that he played with so much emotion but they couldn’t balance it out enough.
The system definitely hasn’t helped and maybe he would have been better if he’d played out on the left more consistently. His best spell if I remember correctly came when he played out wide in the second half of his first season. Get him the ball and let him run at players and find space on the counter attack. Let that instinct dictate his play.

Some fair points for sure. I do agree that he struggles mentally, is super emotional & lacks composure. Said it myself several times that when he plays instinctively & has less time to think, the outcome is usually better. I have also argued previously that imo composure is something at this stage, you either have it or you don't.
I really do think that the technical and intelligence side of his game just isn't at the level to be a successful player at a club LFC. Imo there are just so many examples of this since he signed for us with his final ball, decision making and play breaking down with him. Obviously we all want signings to be successful at LFC but he's a player I really wanted to do well, as fans we all love that passion and emotion but there's a fine line between being passionate/emotional/enthusiastic & just being plain headless. Imo we've seen more of the latter than the former.
In saying all that, I do think he can still be successful at another club, albeit in a different league. I do think he will score goals wherever he goes once he gets his confidence back
There are very few teams in the premier league who leave space for him to run into these days, playing off the shoulder of the CB isn't really a thing. There's always the odd counter, but generally, the top PL teams are trying to break down a low, or lowish, block. We needed a firmino replacement and we bought something totally different that we didn't need. If he'd been a top finisher it might have just about worked, but he isn't and it was a terrible purchase by Klopp, which probably hastened his departure. Hopefully we can correct it without too much of a financial hit.

Yeah agree he’s just not up to the level and for all the things to like about him he’s best off leaving. I think you’ll see the same thing wherever he goes but if he drops down a level and plays more consistently he’ll probably end up scoring more and look good but if you watch closely will see the same missed chances. Maybe the pressure also got to him, it’s elite level and you need to be at the absolute top mentally when you’re at Liverpool.
Good luck to him and I’m sure the behind the scenes team will have the right players to join the attack that fit the system and each other and we’ll see a more functioning attack next season.
1 good season ever in a piss poor league. 99% of people would never heard of the other top 10 strikers in primera liga. Absolute madness to spend that sort of money.
I really don't see him being good for anyone in a decent league. He has flashes of brilliance and makes a nuisance if himself when playing to his strengths, Perhaps they should look at him at Everton they love a non striking striker.
