Possibly, but that's highly unlikely given that Jay Cutler now holds the key to their season and he's a rookie being thrown in at the deep end.

And even if they do, the Pats will be a division winner in the playoffs (and very possibly the number 2 seed), meaning they won't be visiting Mile High this year.

Many a team in recent years has thrown in a new quarterback and thrived. The Patriots themselves are surely a good example of this when Brady came in for Bledsoe 5 or 6 years back. From what I hear Cutler has a great arm and should do a better job than Plummer has been doing. If he can do the business the Broncos certainly have a playoff calibre defence and could be unwelcome visitors to at least one stadium in the post-season.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Brady had the opportunity to watch and learn for one and a bit seasons. Cutler hasn't seen it all pan out yet.

Maybe he'll surprise us. But I doubt it.

Wait, what's that? The Colts have signed Ricky Proehl?

Yet another player who knows how to lose to New England in the playoffs!

Someone is bitter that his team were quiet roundly beaten by the colts a few weeks ago isn't he.

              The word is "quite".

And I was very annoyed by that game.

But how many times do I have to tell you... the regular season is all about jostling for position and working on issues. We had (and still have) issues to work on.

It's all down to the Playoffs. If the Colts win it all, then I'll gladly retract my criticisms. But unitil then they have earned nothing.

I just think it's ironic that Indy would go and sign one of the more moronic receivers available. And one who played on the team Indianapolis desperately want to be (Kurt Warner's Rams).

Remeber his "Tonight a dynasty is born" statement before the Patriots beat his Rams at 36? Well, he was right. Inadvertently. And it wasn't the last Super Bowl he lost to New England either.

No, but your critisms of this year have been unwarrented and vitriolic. We signed him because Dallas Clark got injured, he may be moronic, but if he can catch it don't matter. It doesn't prevent your attacks on the Colts being rather petty.

Oh come on, every reason I have for criticising the Colts is, whether you agree or not, a reasoned argument. Not petty. And by the way, I'm far from the only person to believe these things about the Colts.

Yes I know your not the only one, however the criticisms i find vitriolic still.

Saying they can't stop the run? Have a history of choking in big games? That we've seen regular season dominance before?

No the way you talk about the victories as if they where lucky constantly.

Yes, the style of your writing about the colts comes over as very aggresive.

agressive or not the colts are ridiculously open to crticism from fans as we have to hear the debate of manning vs brady as if it's a contest until manning wins at least one superbowl. as a pats supporter, as oppesed to a liverpool fan, i feel i can be a bit more rational. there is with some colts a nagging sense of insecurity as there have been three or four years of hopes undone by poor defense and a choker at qb.

I'm not the one doing down the colts victories, hows that for insecurity.
