Cannot believe the cold callousness of Inzamam to announce his retirement from ODI Cricket on the day Bob passed away - Total lack of respect
I agree the timing of his announcement was a bit out of order but I am sure it was an emotional decision and not meant to be disrespectful. Technically he announced it a day after the death.
I mean he had been Bob's Captain for the last 3 years so I cannot see he meant any disrespect by it. To suggest otherwise is just mischiefmaking (if that is a word).

It dont matter if it was the day after he should of at least waited till after the final game
I think thats a bit uncalled for Dee, no doubt Inzamam (sp) and the rest of the Pakistan players are more saddened by the news than any of us, as they knew him in person, so but harsh to question his intentions.

hypothetically speaking lets say Rafa passed away.... would you be ok if stevie handed in a transfer request or retired on the same day?
He doesn't come across as the brightest fellow but from all accounts he's a nice guy. It's unfortunate timing I agree but what's the point going on about it? This discussion just casts a shadow over Bob passing away
Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, who will retire from one-day cricket after the match, said he was still coming to terms with Woolmer's untimely death.
"It is very sad. Winning and losing is a part of the game but, after this news, everybody is shocked because he was a good coach and a much better human being," Inzamam said.
Flags flew at half mast at Monday's World Cup matches and there was a minute's silence at both games in memory of Woolmer.
The Pakistan camp have been struggling to cope and have not had a practice session since the defeat by Ireland on Saturday which knocked them out of the tournament.
They are due to play their final Group D game against Zimbabwe on Wednesday.
Sounds very callous...

Inzi had no choice but to resign, you can't say he's at fault for bad timing. He couldnt continue once after getting knocked out and then losing his coach so tragically. The public were demanding his resignation within minutes of the defeat so it would have been wrong to prolong it. Especially as there are reports that his house was set alight on Sunday. Not sure how true that is
I can assure you though that the Pakistani team will come out firing against Zimbabwe. They will have to regain a little pride after that shocking performance and after what happened to Woolmer i expect they will beat Zimbabwe by a country mile and dedicate the win to him
