I've lost a lot of interest in County cricket. The standard is **** - especially Derbyshire's standard.

I'm hoping Lancashire can finally win the championship this tyear, though with the weather they're always at a disadvantage.
I've always liked Somerset as well, dating back to the days of Botham and King Viv.

I like Somerset too, and for the same reason. A few of my favourite players as a kid played for them - like Peter Bowler - and I used to know Ian Blackwell (who plays for them now) when I was a kid.

We need to play away more at the beginning & ending of the season, and play all our home matches July/August!

I was buying some bits for the missus' birthday recently and the girl behind the counter guessed what I was doing and asked if it was soon, to which I smugly replied that I was well prepared and it wasn't till the 11th of April which was a couple of weeks away.

When I got home I realised it was in fact 4 days away I thought she looked at me funny
