I saw that too, the eyes and the desire are definite factors, but after it finished Steve Davis summed it up perfectly, the main reason, is that the players are just getting better. John Parrot was never, at any point in the past, as good as most of these guys, that's the main reason why he's struggled.

Yeah, but Hendry was, his century tally tells you that the man could pot...so why is it not going for him any more...surely, if it's eyesight, then contact lenses or laser surgery will sort that out? A snooker player, like a darts player, should suffer no decline at al until late in their career. Look at Phil Taylor...one of the oldest out there, but still the best by a long shot in the darting fraternity.

I think it's the 5+ hours practice a day that becomes a pain. Especially for a multi-millionaire.
