David Haye' venture into the Heavyweight division.

    I don't see anything other than a Haye win tomorrow. I'll go for a 9th round KO/TKO.

Should be well worth a watch and for those of you in the Londond area tickets are still availabe.

    Predictions please.

haven't seen enough of the lad to comment tbh.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Nope, been at a few of his fights though. He should win easily enough. He seems to have learned from mistakes earlier in his career, and improved as a result. He has a good old school trainer/manager in Adam Booth, a man who coaches in the right way and looks after his fighters, in and out of the ring.

Tomasz Bonin is a bit of a bum, but he does have a decent dig on him and has some durability.

Would like to see Hayes and Enzo Maccarinelli in the one ring. If only to be done with all the hype about Maccarinelli.

Watch this tonight then, bazza. You might just be impressed. I know that I've always been with Haye.

Haye would KO him. No way will Warren let that fight happen.

                    I agree squire.

However - if Carl Thompson can stop him - how will he cope with a dig off a full blown heavyweight?

That's a very good point, mate.

I think Bonnin has been cleverly selected though, if you know what I mean. Haye has come in the heavier of the 2 and has probably face bigger Cruiserweights in his career.

It's when he eventually steps up to Heavyweight full time and starts banging with the big boys that we'll see if he can cope.

Haye is weighing in at 15 and a half stone for this fight, Bonin wll be about a stone to 21lbs heavier than that. Bonin rarely drops below 16 and a half for fights.

It is a decent first step into heavyweight waters for Haye, in terms of opponent. I'm still going with Haye to win by stoppage by the end of the sixth. I see Haye as a far more credible British heavyweight that Ordinary Harrison, but unless he can phase another 7 to 12lbs onto his frame in the next 12 months, I really wonder about his durability in this division.

I am really curious as to how his punching power will translate against better heavyweights than Bonin.

Well, Bonin's only loss was against Ordinary so if David Haye doesn't beat him then it doesn't bode well for his prospects at Heavyweight. I think that Haye will have far to much for him tonight and am certain that the fight will end by KO/TKO.

Ordinary took nine rounds to beat him, I rate Haye as a better fighter, so I am going for him to win in less time. In fact I would be shocked if he did not spark him by 6.

My worry about Haye is how he takes punches, and I am not just going on the fight against Carl Thompson. He has been floored in the past by a light-ish cruiserweight, although in his defence, he did get up to win well.

He has grown on me though, I like his brashness and the fact he is growing a rep for training hard and listening to ideas. I think he is an intelligent fighter. His heart is good, although he can be a little too brave and too inclined to get into a trading war at times, but I much prefer knowing that a fighter is prepared to go into the trenches than wondering what will happen when he does.

I have been critical about him in the past, but I have become less so, and the more I see of him in the ring, the less reason I have to be critical. His ring loss was a great life lesson to the kid.

                              No competition for Haye.

What a waste for the crowd haha
