I am really dissapointed by the inclusion of Plunkett and the exclusion of Broad (unless he is injured?). He is the future and he is ruddy brilliant. Plunkett is yet to convince me that he is good enough. And what of Jones? Is he not ready to come back?

I don't think Owais Shah will play. Babey Bell has been coming on nicely in the last couple of years and I expect him to have a big summer

Matt Prior in as Keeper. The latest in a long line who are trying to replace Alec Stewart. You all know my feelings on the subject, however, I accept that will never happen. Prior is a good player though and fingers crossed he will do well.

    England squad:

    Andrew Strauss (captain),
    Alastair Cook,
    Ian Bell,
    Kevin Pietersen,
    Paul Collingwood,
    Andrew Flintoff,
    Matt Prior,
    Liam Plunkett,
    Steve Harmison,
    Matthew Hoggard,
    Monty Panesar,
    Owais Shah.

Flintoff is a doubt for the first test.

        It's not raining now.

        However, it's almost dark.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Adil Rashid is the future, along with Garlic bread.

Broad is OK but he needs to work on his line a bit

                    Dunno.

It appears to be raining in Swiss Cottage though.

So I expect the pitch report is that it's covered up.

[QUOTE]The early morning weather in London is wet and the start of play could be affected, although the forecast is brighter for Thursday afternoon.[\QUOTE]

It appears Neil was too busy comiling his report for the BBC earlier to bother giving us the benefit of his wisdom.

Jimmy Anderson is sent home, Flintoff is injured and Shah plays at his home ground (as one down!- bell in at 6!). Monty plays

Play is due to start on time (that remains to be seen of course).

West Indies have won the toss and are to field.

1039: Shah will be batting at three and Bell at six for England.
How can they be so precise about when England players will be batting?
                                .
