The odds were much better on BET365, even now rounds 7 and 8 are 28-1.

For boxing bets I generally use 365 as they give better odds on fights normally.

Another bet to watch out for is on Saturday week. One of the giys I sparred for will be in action, and has odds of 3/1 to win. It is Henry Akinwande against Oleg Platov. They met last November when Platov won on a split decision, after both fighters had points deducted during an ill tempered bout in Germany, it will probably go the distance again, and I favour Akinwande to win this time on points.
    cheers Mike,
I usually go for the higher odds bet with the gut instincs that the short odds bet. I must actually check out some other betting platforms other than Skybet. Thing is, with skybet, I only ever made one deposit, I have been up ever since starting off with Baros winning the golden boot back a few years ago. Have had a couple of big wins that have kept me afloat since with no need to top up.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Hehe He is 42 this year, and is boxing, mostly in Germany. He has gotten back into good shape though, and the split decision loss last November against Platov was only the third defeat in 18 years for him, the other two defeats coming at the hands of Lennox Lewis and Oliver McCall.

Going by the lack of genuine quality in the heavyweight ranks, if he wins on the 30th, then he will be back in contention for a tilt at the WBO belt.

HAHA I had a good win on Baros in that Euros too. Went heavy on him early and came up trumps. Good old Milan.

Just had a quick peep at Skybet, their boxing section is quite small, a lot of upcoming fights left out there.

Just saw their odds on your boy. He is 1/50 on. Hard to make money on Dunne with odds like that.

Didn't check him out for odds. But yes 50-1 on, ****ing hell. Stay well clear of that one. He should win comfortably enough though, but in boxing, your opponent always has a punchers chance.

I've got a feeling that the crash weight loss he keeps doing is going to catch up very soon, this fight will be a massive test. If it goes to the 12th I can see him struggling.

              I hope he wins though

He has been lean very early by his standards for this one, think he has taken it far more seriously than some of his other fights.

Have a similar night planned. Cards and beer, followed by boxing.

You going to the Dunne fight at the Point, or sticking with the cards and watching that on the box too?

                          Will Castillo make the weight?

I think that problem will not be a factor for this fight. It is a big fight for him too. Win, and he gets another tilt at the top level, lose and he starts to sink down to the level of a "name" opponent.

I think there can be no doubt that he was a great fighter in his day, and on paper it looks like Hatton is meeting him at the right time, just as his prowess is on the wane. But there is always the chance that the once great fighter may have one more big fight, one more great fight in him. I still think Hatton stops him by round eight, but the idea of Castillo turning back the clock for one fight is an intriquing one for me.

I think Ricky's going to stop Castillo. There'll be a few scary moments for him in the fight but I expect Hatton to come through them and pound Castillo relentlessley.

Hatton between rounds 8 and 10 for me.

I agree with the previous two posts. Ricky to stop Castillo. Castillo has been through too many wars during his career and as Jaco has already mentioned he appears to be on a downwards trajectory now. Good time for Ricky to fight him.
