Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I watched alot of it yesterday, just caught the end of the highlights tonight. Mostly depending on your summaries.

      Just enough to make conversation.

Cavendish fell again, caught up in the crash. Apparently Zabel went down, took out Quinziato who then took out the rest. 20 fallers.

Geraint Thomas was among the fallers but said he was unhurt because he "fell on a fat sprinter."

Correction: Zabel didn't fall but it looked to me like his manoeuvre caused Quinziato's crash.

One or two riders looked in a bit of trouble but no-one pulled out yet. We'll see if they all start. Cavendish, with a bruised hip, is apparently a doubt. Rodriguez of Predictor-Lotto looked in a lot of trouble but then so did Cancellara as he crossed the line and he later said he was fine.

Shame though that Hushovd fell from a top finish and lost out in the green jersey competition.
He landed on his butt and could be in trouble for weds stage

So far only Vaitkus (Discovery) has pulled out after yesterday's crash. He's got a broken thumb.

Actually I didn't. I just went straight from the tube to Hyde Park Corner and stayed there.

I missed the caravan and left before the end too. What a lightweight.

I'm told there is money to be made as a whore in some of the hotels in Park Lane.

There is plenty of money for those girls, but they wont let me becoming a member....they keep black balling me... ahem.

Glad you paid no attention to my shameful exploitation of these events...disappointed though that you couldn't spot the 32 foot stand right on hyde park corner, with the 16ft tall display....

Wonders if all this Neil 'old' Young nonsense might have some truth in it...

Probably a different part of Hyde Park Corner (which, rightly or not, I apply to the whole roundabout). I was at the end of Constitution Hill.

If you have Neil Young T-shirts in stock though...

Silly sod swerved, caused a massive crash behind him and pedalled off. Should be banned.
