Wiggins is on a solo break and has a lead of 9'30" over the peloton making him maillot jaune virtuel.

He probably won't survive in front since the sprinters will want a final chance of glory before hitting the Alps tomorrow.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

It was 28ºC about half an hour and is still warming up apparently.

              I wish.

Mind you, I reckon I could do a decent job except for the tech stuff and some of the historical background. Maybe I should apply.

Eurosport.com's commentaries are too slow to update. The BBC is quicker by the way.

Ian Darke (Think I've got his name right) does official commentaries.

BBC has it that Wiggins is 17'20" ahead.

                  Eurosport says it's 16'50".

It's still far too early to determine whether he'll manage to stay out front but if he can maintain that lead for another two hours or more then maybe, maybe...

David Harmon does the commentary on Eurosport. Oliver Brett is doing the BBC site commentary.

Is Ian Darke now the BBC Sport Cycling correspondent?

Not for the BBC but the official commentaries. I mean when a sports channel decides to pick up the 'generic' live commentaries ... If you understand what I mean.

                        Ah, I see. I don't know.

I know Liggett and Sherwen do the ITV stuff and their commentaries are also carried in the US I think.

He`s out on his own, on a flat stage.
The peloton will get him 5-10km before the finish.

Phil Liggett ? That's probably him then ... I'm confused.

Probably. That however is what everyone assumed in the 2004 Vuelta about Zabriskie, who, like Wiggins, is a very good time-triallist.
