    Like in all sport doesnt the quality get better year after year. In athletics they get stronger and faster, in football, its safe to say that the England team of today would beat Brazil of 1970, so I am guessing that the guys of today in boxing would probably beat there counterparts of years gone by.

        Yeah, odd one that, I have to agree that in the main sportsmen/women of yesteryear would get comfortably beat by todays equivalent counterparts but boxers? mmm, dunno......I suppose the fitness levels of todays would be superior but I have to say I dont think it would be the case with boxers. ****ing good question though........

          The boxers Hearns, Haggler, Leonard and Duran era inspired each other to greatness. The boxers of today don't measure up IMO.

            Benn, Watson, Eubank, McClellan, Collins all did the same......

            It looks like the point is that all generations of "great" sportsmen need a great rivalry.

              Vernon Forrest and Baldomir is starting on SS1 now
              I know its a replay, but should be a good fight, already know the winner though

                Very good performance from Forrest. He rolled back the years and his performance was as good as the one he put in against Mosely a few years ago.

                    I'd like to see him fight Corey Spinks. That would be a good fight but in fairness the Light-Middleweight division isn't exactly littered with top fighters. Perhaps he could move up and fight the winner of Taylor Vs Pavlik.
