As for Chicken Joe, I do want him to win even if it means seeing Warrens smug face on the box afterwards. If he were to lose however - I'll be looking closely to see Warren squirming.
If Joe wins - I hope he calls time on Warren and goes to America with his 4 belts in tow looking for some big fights/paydays to end his career.

I think it's pretty much been intimated that if Calzaghe win's tomorrow then he's off to American. Looking to fight in either Vegas or MSG at light heavy against Hopkins or staying at Super Middle and fighting Lacy.

Calzaghe himself said this week he's got twelve months left in boxing.

I don't mean 'will you be watching it'.............I know you'll be watching. I meant do you think Warren's lived up to your perception of him as shirking the big fights for huge Cardiff paydays, or d'you think, for once, he's putting on the right fight?

Seems a good enough fight for me. A good test against an unbeaten fighter.

Generally though, I do agree with you. He should've gone to America three or four years ago....when he had a bit longer left.

He's got a year or so left in the tank and even if he goes to the States next, it'll be too little too late for me.

Based on my fairly limited knowledge, obviously.

It's all very well putting Joe in in front of 35,000 fans but when the opponent is Peter Manfredo it's nothing short of a ****ing joke.
The Kessler fight is probably the best fight for Joe at the moment - finally Warren does his best for the fighter - but realisitically how many more fights has Joe got? 3 or 4 at the most so the cynics amongst us would say that Warren is only now doing what he should have been doing ages ago - but didn't want to lose his meal ticket.

Ask Enzo Macarinelli if he thinks his promoter is doing a good job for him at the moment after the no hopers in his last fights and the farce with Ezra Sellars this time around. Hypothetically of course.

Okay...I'm a keen but fair-weather boxing fan - i.e. I watch all the big title fights when Brits or big names are involved, but not much else and I don't follow the non-title fight stuff. Consequently I know little about Kessler and have never seen him fight, but I know he's unbeaten and I'm really looking forward to this bout.

I love watching Calazghe though and I hope he gives him some of the treatment he handed out to Jeff Lacy.

What sort of fighter is Kessler and can he realisitically beat Joe?

This a real 50/50 contest, Shaggy. Two contrasting styles that, if they match well, will make this fight special.

These two are the best in the division and two of the best in the world.

Kessler is a come forward fighter in the mould of Jeff Lacy but much, much, better with more ring skills.

This fight could go either way although I expect that if Kessler is to win he'll have to do it in style or by KO because as in most cases a close fight on the cards will go to the 'home' fighter.

I can see Joe winning but I can't imagine that he'll knock Kessler out.

The actual boxing card starts at about 8 o'clock but the fight itself isn't on until late due to screening rights in the US where the fight is being shown live on HBO.

I've been to the Millenium in February when we've played down there and to see The Manic Street Preachers on New Years eve 99/00 and both times the roof was closed and it was absolutely freezing. I can't begin to imagine how cold it'll be in there at 1.00am tomorrow.
