I have zero insight into this, obviously, other than the fact she's a young, vaguely glamorous tennis player who's pretty much achieved it all in the game, and is filthy rich. I'd bet a vast sum of money that she has taken coke.

Don't think she should be stripped of her titles though. It's not as if she's been cheating, is it, with performance enhancing drugs. Coke FFS! It's wrong cos she's supposed to be a role model and all that, but she's only doing what stacks and stacks of other young, successful and rich women do.

My personal views are that the 'results' of random drug tests are the pinnacle of the corrupt nature of competitive sports. Having seen some of the evidence of doping and performance enhancement from the DDR, I can assure you that the scientists crossed many borders after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Hingis gets the sympathy vote from the general public due to her success and explosive nipples, but her being a cocaine user would be no surprise to me.

You're assuming she racked up a huge line and snorted it a minute before the match started? Because if she did a bit of coke the night before or even an hour before, she would feel very tired after running a couple of minutes. A fit coke free Hingis would run a coked up Hingis into the ground.

That I can't argue with. But the sporting authorities really should distinguish between performance enhancing drugs and stimulants that don't enhance performance. Isn't caffeine a stimulant?

Caffeine was on the doping list but they have removed it because you would need to drink such a stupid amount of it to get any good enough effect.
