I stopped giving a **** about this award a long time ago, but I tuned in for the last hour tonight and twice was totally choked.

Firstly when Hatton, fighting back the tears, said he feels he's let everyone down.

Not a chance pal, not a chance.

Secondly when old Bobby Robson limped up to collect his honour. A great reception for a great man.

Calzaghe was a deserving winner (having been the only one in the list to have actually won anything this year), although I voted for Ricky as soon as his interview finished.

Joe did the double with winning the Welsh one too, and his old man, Enzo, winning coach of the year makes it a double celebration in the Calzaghe household!!
